Panel Psychology offers direct billing to most insurance providers in Alberta. Counselling services are often eligible for reimbursement through extended health benefit plans, with coverage varying by provider and individual plan.
Panel Psychology offers evidence-based counselling in Calgary for individuals seeking thoughtful, meaningful support. Our approach goes beyond surface-level symptoms to understand the full context of your experiences, including patterns, relationships, and the factors contributing to emotional and mental health challenges. We believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative and grounded in trust. Our clinicians work with you to explore underlying concerns, dig deeper into what’s driving them, and develop a path forward that supports lasting clarity, balance, and well-being.
Individual counselling is a collaborative process where you work one-on-one with one of our counsellors in a space built on trust, respect, and a strong fit. Therapy is most effective when you feel comfortable with your counsellor and are ready to engage in the process, working together toward meaningful change over time.
Finding the right fit is an important part of counselling. You should feel comfortable, heard, and accepted by your therapist as well as confident in their knowledge and skills. To help you decide, we offer a free 15-minute phone consultation, giving you a chance to ask questions, learn about our approach, and see if working together feels like a good match.
Counselling sessions are typically 50 minutes, which works well for most people. In some cases, longer sessions may be available if additional time feels helpful and appropriate. Session length can also depend on individual needs and, when applicable, benefit plan requirements.
The frequency of counselling depends on your goals, what you’re hoping to work on, and how you’d like to approach the process. Some people attend weekly, while others choose bi-weekly or less frequent sessions.
Yes. Confidentiality is an important part of counselling, and information shared with one of our counsellors is kept confidential. There are a few legal and ethical exceptions where confidentiality may need to be broken, such as concerns about safety, risk of harm, or situations required by law. Your counsellor will explain confidentiality clearly so you understand what to expect and can ask questions at any time.
